Container Loading Supervision or CLS is carried out at the time when the final consignment is ready to be loaded in the container. During checking a sample size is selected by the quality inspector. After the selection of the samples, the selected units are checked thoroughly for any kind of major or minor defect. This quality check before loading the ordered products to the containers helps the supplier to fulfill the commitment of providing quality products in the right quantity. On the other hand, this process helps the buyer to save precious time that could have been wasted otherwise due to product returns in case of poor product quality.
The product quality here covers the features of products like; the color of products is intact and is not faded away with packing material, the design of the product is not damaged, the odor of packing material is not getting absorbed into the product crust, the product is not worn off, broken, shattered or destructed by some external pressure and the packing material is as per the specified material that is suitable as per the recommendations of quality standards for that specific product.
Besides checking the number of products per box and making sure products features are safe and intact. The Container Loading Supervision also ensures that the internal packing of each product in the selected units. The exterior of each box is also checked for the information regarding how to manage the product, where to store it, what are the conditions for storage and how to unload the container and boxes. Usually, the Container Loading Supervision is conducted under international quality sampling standard ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1) or as prescribed by the customer.
